1992年中国中化与常州塑料集团合资成立中化勤丰塑料有限公司，2004年改组成立常州昌博包装材料厂，2012年成立子公司---常州铂安防护材料有限公司。专事干燥剂之研发、生产、销售。

    产品获***机械包装协会、军品包装办公室联合推广、进入“军品包装成果展”进入“军品包装工程决策咨询系统”、进入《***装备配套产品暨物资采购供应商名录》。行业标准起草单位，参与软、硬包装容器透湿度试验方法之两项***标准修订工作。运用于海军七大基地之器械包装。
